ＮＤ５ＲＣのハンドリング特性である強めのアンダーステアの解消方策として、ニーレックスが着手したのがフロントのサスペンション廻りや、ナックル部・サブフレームを含むフロント廻りの剛性、ハンドリングの応答性や路面追従性アップを目指してきました。
更にボデイ中央のフロア下トンネル部の変位を抑える対策をする中で車体剛性のバランスを見つめなおし、さらなるめ剛性バランス向上を目指すため、メインフレームの後ろ側とリアクロスメンバーの前側を連結し、独自のトラス形状と４点止めのクロス補強したのがリアアンダークロスです。
これにより前後剛性バランスが図られ、ニュートラルステアに近づけることが可能です。
材質はＳＵＳ３０４ステンレス角断面パイプ
